FIRST CHURCH ANNIVERSARY
Last November 6th of 2005 Taoyuan Grace Baptist Church celebrated her First Anniversary as an organized body of Believers. We rejoiced greatly in the Lord to see several Taiwanese people came to hear the Gospel message for the first time. Missionary Keith Cullers and family were our special guests. The picture below was taken during our first anniversary. We had a total attendance of 60 people, 19 of whom were first-time visitors.
A FAMILY VISIT
After being in the Mission Field for sometime already, finally for the first-time ever, we were thrilled to have been visited recently by some special people in our life, my wife’s parents. For almost two weeks, our home and church in Taiwan was filled with a special kind of joy and blessing because of their presence. Also, while they were with us, they were able to be in our first church anniversary and witness God’s goodness and blessings upon our church and upon our lives. We look forward for such a visit again in the future.
MORE PROFESSIONS IN DECEMBER
As the year 2005 was coming to an end, the Lord allowed us to see more spiritual harvest of souls. Certainly, there is none better than to see people making eternal decision to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. In the month of December we had three more people made professions of faith. One of them is a young Taiwanese student who is studying at a local university where my wife and I are doing language studies. It is our hope and prayer that we see this young man and others continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
HOME BIBLE STUDIES
The usual rent of a simple apartment here in Taiwan costs from $300 to $400 US dollars a month. We are truly grateful to the Lord that He has provided us a “special home” here in the Mission Field, where it not only provides a place for us to live, but also a place for us to minister God’s Word to others. In the picture below this young Taiwanese on far right made a profession of faith during this particular Home Bible Study! The man in the middle is one of our first Taiwanese converts.
